Mobile Engineer

As a Mobile Engineer at Brilliant, you will work across both of our existing iOS and Android applications, building out the functionality and UI that form a key pillar of Brilliant’s vision of a unified smart home. Previous experience on both platforms is required.

This is a hybrid position, working a few days a week out of our San Mateo office. 

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain features in both our iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) applications
• Work with the rest of the mobile engineering team to maintain a high level of code quality, performance, and reliability
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and the rest of the engineering team to define product functionality and UI
• Stay up to date on mobile technologies and standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Swift and Kotlin
• 3+ years experience with building mobile applications
• 3+ years experience with mobile development environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RxSwift and/or RxJava
• Experience with MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel)
